July 16, 2017
If you have been a fan of flower arranging, you’ll find arranging artificial flowers a breeze. You will be dealing with non-living, silk-made flowers so you’ll have more room to maneuver the plants without worrying about killing them. However, there are still parts about arranging artificial plants that are tricky. It would take a lot of time before one can master the art of creating beautiful flower arrangements using artificial flowers. Here are some simple steps to get you started with the art.
-
Get your supplies. Before you even start arranging flowers, you should first make sure that all the things, supplies, and tools that you need are secured. You don’t want to waste your time going back and forth the market finding tools and accessories because you keep on forgetting them. Make sure you have the basics such as a beautiful vase of the right size that can hold the amount of flowers that you plan to arrange. Get scissors, cutters, and other tools that will help you shape your arrangement into a work of art.
-
Create the base. Just like with normal flower arrangement, artificial flower arranging also needs a base that can hold your flowers in place so they don’t swivel everywhere. Just take a cheap styro foam or clay and arrange it tightly at the bottom of the base. Get a handful of moss or fake grass and then lay it over the foam or clay to cover it. This is where you’ll stick the artificial flowers into so they stay in place while you add more and make it more beautiful.
-
Be bold and creative. The rest is actually up to you. At this point, you can experiment with a lot of things regarding the design and style of your arrangement. You can use a variety of fake flowers with different colors. Or, you can start sticking them up in different lengths to give it volume. You can look for inspirations or give it your own taste.
